Jet.com is Launching its Own Private Label Brand of Groceries

  • Jet.com, owned by Wal-Mart, announced that it is launching its own private label grocery brand and is planning to target “metro millennials”
  • The brand will be called Uniquely J and will place an emphasis on quality versus other generic brands
  • The move comes at a time when Wal-Mart is trying to position Jet.com as hip alternative to the cheap and mass market label the partner company has drawn over the years
  • Wal-Mart bought Jet.com last summer for $3 billion
