Uber to Pull out of Canada’s Providence of Quebec

  • In light of recent regulation passed by local government, Uber has made the announcement that it plans to pull out of Quebec, Canada’s second most populated providence
  • Uber has allowed room for a reversal, asking the government to reconsider that regulations passed
  • Uber is expected to end operations in Quebec on October 14th
  • Uber has 50 office employees employed in Quebec along with 10,000 drivers who have worked for the company
  • Lyft, which currently only operates in the US, has explored plans of potentially moving into Canada
